During one of her school functions, Sandara met Pauleen Luna, who was then a talent of ABS-CBN Channel 2 Talent Center. Luna encouraged the shy Sandara to audition for Star Circle Quest, a then-up-and-coming reality talent search for ABS-CBN.

The show's judges called her in, and she was able to elude elimination several times, paving the way for her inclusion into the contestant-pool's top ten. Being a native Korean, she displayed some trouble with the daily exercises set by the panel of Filipino judges. During the last elimination round in which the final five contestants were chosen, Sandara made Philippine history by garnering approximately 500,000 text votes, making her the first female to garner that much SMS support. And so she remained until the final night when she was announced First Runner-up to Hero Angeles. It is estimated that she got at least 2,000,000 accumulated SMS votes from supporters during the entire run of the contest.

Sandara left the Philippines and returned to South Korea on August 1, 2007 with her mother and siblings to begin a new life. The next day, August 2, 2007, YG Entertainment reported that they had signed a contract with Sandara. Shaina Magdayao began her acting career when she was cast, at age seven, in the Philippine drama series Lyra, playing the lead character. She was discovered by ABS-CBN and became part of the Star Magic Family at a young age. Magdayao was included in the cast of the just-revamped Ang TV show, Kaybol. She was then brought together, with two other child actresses of the 1990s, Camille Prats and Serena Dalrymple to star in ABS-CBN's afternoon drama series Marinella, playing the role of Rina.

In 2000, when Shaina was 11 years old, she released a self-titled debut album with Star Records. The carrier single was "Sayaw Sweet Lullabye". The song's music video was often played in the afternoons right before Marinella or youth-oriented shows.

Magdayao has also played daughter to a wide-range of Philippine celebrity "parents" on screen. She joined beauty contests at a very young age and she was moderately successful in this endeavor. Cristine Reyes is a Filipina actress. She has starred the reality TV show Starstruck. On 2008, Reyes decided to transfer to ABS-CBN where she has received more starring roles. She is best known on television shows such as Banana Split, Kahit Isang Saglit and Eva Fonda.

She is the sister of actress Ara Mina and a former contract artist of GMA-7, but recently transferred to ABS-CBN.

Reyes has since taken part in different ABS-CBN shows, including Kahit Isang Saglit which starred Jericho Rosales and Carmen Soo. Reyes played the eponymous title role in Eva Fonda and received top billing.

Unfortunately, her attempt to move back to GMA-7 was unlikely to happen, when she revealed that ABS-CBN is offering her all prime time shows. However in July 30, 2009, she renewed her contract with ABS-CBN and she is still a Kapamilya.

Cristine Reyes attended the 2009 Seoul International Drama Awards last September 11 at the Olympic Park in Seoul, Korea to accept the special prize for Eva Fonda.

According to a report by SNN, Cristine Reyes is well known in Korea and they call her “Eva Fonda”. Although she did not win in the Best Drama Actress category, Cristine accepted the special prize awarded to Eva Fonda. 169 dramas from 37 countries competed in the 4th edition of Seoul International Drama Awards.
